BurnsCast – Maryland Edition (A-01)
March 10th, 2009 by Kenneth Burns
In an effort to promote synergy with my new webventure, I have decided to post the Maryland Edition of The Kenny Burns Podcast here on Maryland Politics Today, in addition to it’s normal home, podcast.kennyburns.com. This makes the most sense, considering that the Maryland Edition is based on this website.
In the first Maryland Edition of The Kenny Burns Podcast…
The death penalty reform that the State Senate passed is discussed. I ask whether or not this bill has hurt O’Malley’s chances of getting re-elected. As well as slots and the failed bid of Magna Entertainment.
Joining me on the podcast is Brian Griffiths, contributing editor to Red Maryland as well as a blogger and commentator in his own right through blog.briangriffiths.com. He is also the President of the Anne Arundel Young Republicans and he is running for statewide chairman of the YR clubs.
Please email your comments to feedback@kennyburns.com or send them the old fashion way to P.O. Box 1644, Laurel, Maryland 20725. Your emails might be featured on a future show.
Mentioned in this edition of the BurnsCast:
Doug Duncan’s letter to The Washington Post: http://tinyurl.com/aq6fzn
The book by Harry Jackson Jr, pastor of the Hope Christian Church and Tony Perkins from the Family Research Council is called “Personal Faith, Public Policy.” Click on the link to purchase this book from amazon.com.
This podcast was originally released Saturday, March 7 at 8:00p.m.
