Cousin of Lt. Gov Murdered

Thoughts and prayers are with Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown (D) who found out the horrible news that his cousin, Catherine Brown as he was just arriving to Denver for the Democratic National Convention.

WRC-TV (Channel 4) reported that Brown was shot by her estranged boyfriend 44-year-old Michael Keith WIlson in the garage of her Montgomery Village home.  Wilson was killed by officers and an autopsy proved that she was killed with a single bullet from Wilson.  Montgomery County Police tried to calm Wilson down before shots were fired.  Both died at the scene and the two officers who fired shots were placed on routine administrative leave.

Lt. Gov. Brown has left Denver and is heading back to the free state to be with his family during this difficult time.  He said in a statement that he is leaving Denver with a heavy heart and asked asked everyone to keep his family in their prayers.
